Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree DLC Release Date News

FromSoftware fans have a great deal to anticipate at present. Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon is on the horizon, and its advertising appears to be intensifying closer to its release. Afterward, Elden Ring will receive a downloadable add-on called Shadow of the Erdtree, while some gossip suggests that the developer has an additional project in the works. While Elden Ring's new content may seem far away, Armored Core 6 will have a more modern FromSoftware design to keep the community busy.

The Elden Ring DLC has a variety of potential locations. For starters, a link between Miquella and the phantom steed Torrent is hinted at in the Shadow of the Erdtree poster. Other unresolved issues from the original game include Melina's, the Gloam-Eyed Queen's, and the Prince of Death's true identities. Nobody knows for sure what to anticipate until Shadow of the Erdtree receives a formal announcement, though, with only a poster and absences from the basic Elden Ring to go on. That is anticipated to occur following the release of Armored Core 6, although that does not necessarily indicate that the news will be imminent.

Depending on the release date of the expansion, the public will next hear about Shadow of the Erdtree at that time. The DLC for Elden Ring is not anticipated to be released in the current fiscal year, which ends on March 31, 2024, according to a financial report from FromSoftware's owner Kadokawa Corporation. The second anniversary of Elden Ring will therefore likely be missed by Shadow of the Erdtree, but if it contains as much DLC as leakers promise, that might not be a problem.

Shadow of the Erdtree will likely not be released until 2024, despite predictions from fans and rumors to the contrary. The summer convention season is still going strong, and the rest of the year is filled with a number more suspects. San Diego Comic-Con  in July of 2023 is improbable, but the  news might show up during Gamescom in August, starting with an Opening Night Live demonstration on August 22. As the European version of E3, Gamescom primarily focuses on games that have already been revealed. This may result in a last-minute trailer for Armored Core 6, but it would also be a fantastic opportunity to discuss Elden Ring's DLC.

Shadow of the Erdtree fans may have to wait

The Elden Ring enlargement that was just announced, nevertheless, is not what people want. The likelihood of a Shadow of the Erdtree trailer debuting will only increase with time, and avoiding Armored Core 6 should help. Tokyo Game Show 2023, which takes place from September 21 to September 24, will be the first significant gaming event following Gamescom. In addition to other Bandai Namco titles like Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 4 and Naruto X Boruto Ultimate Ninja Storm Connections, it may also showcase an Elden Ring video. DLC trailers don't require the biggest stages in gaming; instead, they can be unveiled as part of a panel and then released online in many languages.

If Shadow of the Erdtree's release date is projected to be April 2024 or soon after, The Game Awards 2023 might be its final major appearance. Elden Ring is most likely to be present here, barring something like a State of Play presentation from Sony, especially given that the show in 2022 will be giving out awards. Fans may want to prepare for a summer or fall launch window if Shadow of the Erdtree news keeps them waiting into 2023. Elden Ring's DLC shouldn't be delayed until its anticipated 2024 release date, but there is still plenty of time for a trailer to possibly be released.

Elden Ring is available now on PS5, PS4, PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
