Remember those golden old days when everybody was crazy about these NES games?
We used to blow the dust off the cassettes and put them in that video game box (NES System) and play for hours having a nice jolly time. The feeling that we used to get via playing those classic games is unmatched.

1. Super Mario Bros 3

Super Mario Bros 3 is a platform video game developed and published by Nintendo (NES). It was released in Japan on October 23, 1988, and in North America on February 12, 1990. The game world consists of eight 'kingdoms' and each of them is subdivided into multiple levels. Desert land contains sand-covered levels with pyramids, while the levels in the fourth world 'giant land', are populated with obstacles and enemies twice as tall and twice as wide as those in the other worlds. Each world features a final stage with a boss to defeat. Super Mario Bros 3 includes a multiplayer option that allows two players to cooperatively play the game.


2. Super Mario Bros. Classic

Super Mario Bros is a platform video game developed and published by Nintendo. It was released in Japan in 1985 and in North America and Europe for the Nintendo Entertainment system (NES). Players control Mario or his brother Luigi in multiplayer mode. There are two available powerups - a mushroom that makes Mario taller and stronger and a fire flower that gives him the ability to shoot fireballs at Koopa troops. The game is a little frustrating on the first run as you have to rescue the princess captured in the castle but no matter in which castle we enter the princess is always kept in another castle. 


3. Ninja Gaiden III: The ancient ship of Doom

It is a side-scrolling platforming video game developed and published by Tecmo. It was released in Japan on June 26, 1991. This is the third and final game in the classic series. The story beings with our hero Ryu Hayabusa being framed for the murder of Irene Lew. As Ryu makes his way to the last known location of Irene, he starts suspecting his ally Clancy, a former associate of Foster and the director of the C.I.A. Foster and Clancy were involved in the experimentation part of the "Biohazard plan" using paranormal energies by which they created a clone of Ryu Hayabusa. Ryu fights with difficult monsters and bosses as well as his own superhuman look-alike to save humanity and Irene lew. Do give this game a shot, you will surely like it.


4. Teenage mutant ninja turtle 2: The Arcade game 

It is a side-scrolling beat-'em-up game released by Konami in 1990. It was originally released as a coin-op arcade game but later ported to the NES with a few extra levels. The player chooses from one of the four ninja turtles: Leonardo, Michelangelo, Donatello, and Raphael. Each turtle can perform a special attack by pressing the jump and attack buttons. Enemies can be defeated more quickly by throwing objects such as traffic cones, and parking meters, and exploding oil drums on them. In this game, the shredder kidnaps April O' Neil and their mentor Splinter. The objective of this game is to save their comrades and defeat the evil shredder.


5. Double Dragon 2:The revenge

Double Dragon 2 is a side-scrolling beat 'em up produced by techno Japan originally released as a coin-operated arcade game in 1988 but later on released on a home version for the Nintendo entertainment system was released in 1989.
The story beings with violence that ruled the streets of new york city after the nuclear war. Even with the crime syndicates growing bigger every year, two young men were brave enough to challenge them and their names were billy and jimmy lee. People called them double dragons. These dragons had one terrible enemy, to fight against him was the destiny and fate of the double dragons. One day, shadow warriors attacked the city, and billy's girlfriend Marian was killed. The double dragons swore to avenge her death!


6. Chip 'n Dale rescue rangers

It is a  platformer video game developed and published by Capcom, based on the Disney animated series. It was released for the Nintendo entertainment system (NES) in Japan and North America in 1990. If you have watched the animated series then you probably know that the fat cat is the root cause of the rescue rangers' problems. In this game, Gadget has been kidnapped and it's up to the rangers to rescue her by getting through a few levels and defeating the bosses. You must choose to play as either chip or dale. Throughout most of the game, all you have to do is pick up boxes and throw them at your enemies in order to defeat them. You can also hide inside the boxes until an enemy runs into them and gets knocked off the screen. You can also pick up and throw huge apples and drop heavy metal squares. You will also find Zipper the bee and Monterey Jack. Zipper the bee is like a living shield. Once you find Zipper, he will kill every enemy he sees for a few seconds. Monterey Jack is always hungry for cheese, and he can open up a few passageways for us. It is unbelievably addictive. You should get this game.


7. Contra

Contra is a run and gun video game developed and published by Konami, originally released in a coin-operated arcade game on February 20, 1987. A home version was released for Nintendo entertainment (NES) in 1988. It offers the option of playing with two players simultaneously. In this game, guns are just awesome. You get to play with various guns like machine guns, laser guns, spread guns, and guns I don't even know the name of....:-P. There are tons of enemies throughout the game waiting to kill you. In this game, some levels can get really difficult to play as you get only three lives and three continues, once it's over that's it.....GAME OVER! And you have to start it from the beginning. BUT WAIT! Developers of this game included a cheat code that will give your player 30 lives. You can activate the cheat code by pressing the buttons of your controller in the order which follows - UP + UP + DOWN + DOWN + LEFT + RIGHT + LEFT + RIGHT + B + A + START on the start-up screen. Shoot out all the enemies. In the end, you will get to the final boss which is a gigantic heart and is pretty easy to kill. After killing the final boss the island blows up and peace is finally restored.


8. Vice: Project Doom

It is a multi-genre action video game developed by Aicom and published by Sammy for the Nintendo entertainment system (NES). The game was released in Japan on April 26, 1991, and in North America on November 15, 1991. This game looks very similar to Ninja Gaiden. Overall it is a bit better than other NES games. The graphics are colorful and the sound fits the game really well. The player has three different weapons which are a laser whip, a gun, and grenades. The game starts with the driving stage in which you have to shoot the enemies. The game has three types of different gameplay - the driving stage, the side-scrolling, and the third-person shooter. The general sound of the game is very catchy and fun. It will make you want to keep playing.                             


9. Excitebike

Excitebike is a motocross racing video game made by Nintendo. This game was launched in 1985. This game has five levels with an order of increasing difficulty. Using the B button causes greater acceleration but it also increases the bike temperature which is shown in the bar at the bottom of the screen. When the temperature exceeds the bar, the bike gets overheated for several seconds which is frustrating. Just make sure to finish the race line within the 3rd position timer which you will get qualified for the next level.


10. Donkey kong

Donkey kong is an arcade game released by Nintendo in 1981. In this game, we play as Mario and have to cross a series of platforms while dodging and jumping over obstacles to save a girl named Pauline from a giant ape named Donkey Kong. There are four stages, the first one is to climb the ladder by dodging and jumping the barrels rolling down the girders towards you. The second stage is the elevator stage, which puts two moving platforms in the level, again you must make your way to the top. The third and final is where Mario must knock out bolts to cause girders to collapse, doing this will reunite Mario with Pauline.
