10 Video Games that will make you nostalgic

If you clicked on this post then you are most likely a person who has been playing video games since childhood. I am one of those frantics. Those were the times when we were carefree and used to play these good old games for hours after coming back from school. Whether it was a chilly winter or a hot summer break, we use to have a delightful time at night playing these old video games. Most of these games are one of the Microsoft operating systems i.e windows 95 games as well, as I remember that I used to have an old potato pc with windows 95 installed it and used to play these old games.
Let's get back in the memories of our childhood and get nostalgic with the 10 best old games/classic pc games that we had played in our younger days.
1. Road Rash (initial release date:1991)

It is a game in which the player if falls from the bike covers 3-5 km of distance flying in the air and then you can either mount the player back on the bike or start jogging towards the finish line. I would suggest the second option is better...I mean who needs a bike to win the race. Right?
Road rash is a motorcycle-racing game series by electronics arts in which the player participates in violent, illegal street races. It was one of the best classic pc games during its time. You can smash the other bikers with baseball bat and chains, kick them out of your way or punch them on their face. Everything is fair to win the race!
2. Dangerous Dave (initial release date:1988)

On hearing this game, some people would be like oh man! this game! I remember this game!!! and some people would say Dangerous what??? as the game is way too old. In my opinion, this is one of the best old games which you can play.
This game was developed by John Romero and published by Softdisk. The only objective of this game is to collect gold cups to move on to the next level. It is a 2D game which gets harder and harder after the completion of each level. You can play this game online now. Just google it and you will find various websites where you can play this game.

3. Motocross Madness (initial release date:1998)

This game is known due to the fact that the player can perform epic stunts in this game. Motocross Madness is a motocross racing video game developed by Microsoft. Baja, Enduro, Stunts, Supercross and National are various levels in this game apart from career mode. This game series surely counts in the best classic pc games.
4. Virtua Cop 2 (initial release date:1995)

5. Sky Roads (initial release date:1993)

You must have remembered this game. This game was very catchy and unique during its time. It was developed by Bluemoon and published by Creative Dimensions. It has a simple gameplay. The spacebar and directional keys are used to create an easy "jump and move" motion. Meter at the bottom indicates the ship's speed. The level is restarted each time the ship is destroyed, runs out of fuel or oxygen, or falls off the road. The levels always end with a tunnel that ends into space, signifying a win.
6. Cadillacs and Dinosaurs (initial release date:1993)

It was everyone's favorite during its time and I would say without a doubt that it has earned its place in the category of best old arcade games. A lot of people remember this game by the name of Mustapha which was actually one of the players in the game. This was a game that used to boost my testosterone level and pump me up. It is one of the best classic pc games/old arcade games.
This game was developed by CAPCOM. Up to three players can play at once, guiding their selected characters through eight stages, battling various enemies and bosses. There are four playable characters, each with their own strengths and weaknesses. The players have access to several attacks. Each character has its own special moves as well.
7. DX-Ball (initial release date:1996)
I never imagined that such a simple 2D game could be so exciting to play. This game was developed by Micheal P.Welch. The game, originally based on an earlier series of Amiga games known as MegaBall, is patterned after classic ball-and-paddle old arcade games such as Breakout and Arkanoid. DX-Ball has been succeeded by three direct follow-ups: DX-Ball 2 (1998), Rival Ball (2001) and Super DX-Ball (2004). All of these old games are classic pc games and are worth playing.
The game is basically a Breakout clone: the players control a paddle at the bottom and deflect a single ball, hitting different colored blocks on the top of the screen without having the ball fall below the screen. Clearing all the blocks results in completing the level and going to the next. There is an inclusion of power-ups as well. Various power-ups appear when hitting random blocks. Each power-up has its own ability.

8. Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones (initial release date:2005)

Get even more nostalgic with Prince of Persia. If I have to nominate a game in the best old games category then the prince of Persia series would be the one. This series was a big hit during its time.
It is an action-adventure video game developed and published by Ubisoft Montreal. The player can run across the walls, climb structures, ascend and descend chasms by jumping back and forth between the walls. Basically the game combines exploration (artifact collection and exploring various elements of the game), combat, and both the elements make use of the prince's acrobatic capability and agility. The game is set after the events of Prince of Persia: warrior within. It surely is an epic game and you must try it if you haven't played it yet.
9. Halo: Combat Evolved (initial release date:2001)

Halo:Combat Evolved is a military science fiction first-person shooter video game developed by Bungie and published by Microsoft Game Studios. The game is set in the twenty-sixth century and we play the role of Master Chief a cybernetically enhanced supersoldier. Master Chief is accompanied by Cortana, an artificial intelligence. Players battle various Aliens as they attempt to uncover the secrets of Halo, a ring-shaped artificial world.
Lots of Military weapons and alien weapons are available in the game with an epic soundtrack. It is a classic which everyone must play!
10. GTA Trilogy (initial release date:2005)

If you haven't played any of GTA games there is a possibility that you might not belong to this planet. If you truly are an earthling like the rest of us then I would suggest that you play the game once.
GTA is an action-adventure video game primarily developed by British development house Rockstar North and published by its parent company, Rockstar Games. GTA Trilogy includes three games - GTA III, GTA Vice City, and GTA San Andreas with their initial release date 2001, 2002, 2004 respectively. All three of them are open-world games and played from a third-person perspective and are the best old games of the GTA series. Each game has its own storyline. GTA games are known for the fact that the players can freely roam in the world of the game and do whatever they wish to do apart from doing main missions. Players can go crazy and cause mayhem, drive/fly any vehicle, do random side missions, do pretty much everything that looks fun!

Hope I have been successful in taking you back to the memory lane of younger days. New games will release every year and disappear but friends OLD WILL ALWAYS REMAIN GOLD !!!
